The 5th Consortium meeting of the PhasmaFOOD Horizon 2020 project took place on 23-24 January 2019 in beautiful and snowy Novi Sad, Serbia. The two-day meeting was held at Hotel Sheraton kindly supported by the project partner VizLore Labs Foundation.
Developments, main results achieved so far as well as the procedures and milestones planned until the end of the project were extensively discussed in friendly and warm atmosphere. Each Work Package (WP) leader presented the current status in their WP and discussed the open issues and the next steps to be done with the consortium partners.
The first PhasmaFOOD prototype sensing device was fully assembled and functional already in September 2018. The consortium is now intensively working on collection of information and experimental data allowing the continuation of data analysis and the completion of experiments for all use cases. After a series of validation and calibration activities that are now in progress, the project will produce the second and final prototype smart sensing device.
The meeting participants confirmed that the project has already achieved promising results and is successfully proceeding towards the finalisation of the innovative smart integrated system for on-the-spot food quality sensing and shelf-life prediction.
We warmly thank all the PhasmaFOOD partners for their enthusiasm, professionalism and great job done so far!
